About the role#
SoloPulse Corp is looking for a Radar Digital Signal Processing Intern to join our radar engineering team. You will work on commercial and defense projects, helping to design and implement algorithms for radar systems. This position offers the chance to apply technical knowledge to real-world sensing challenges.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and analyze radar system and software architectures.
- Create, implement, and test algorithms for tracking, discrimination, and detection systems.
- Build models and simulations to demonstrate system performance metrics.
- Develop efficient signal processing solutions for mission applications.
- Use MATLAB, Python, or C++ to analyze data and generate algorithms.
- Analyze RF system performance, signal propagation, and project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and program management.
- Work across disciplines such as antennas, radar system modeling, maritime surveillance, and electronic warfare.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in mathematics, physics, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or C++.
- Knowledge of digital signal processing techniques including Fourier transforms, matched filters, and Nyquist sampling rates.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Familiarity with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) algorithms is a plus.
- Understanding of Doppler shift, FMCW processing, and maximum likelihood estimators is helpful.
