Supply Chain Co-op

About the role#

This 12-month Supply Chain Co-op position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a national grocery retailer. You will work on the construction and maintenance of Engineered Labour Standards (ELS) across Sobeys' national warehouses, supporting productivity projects and network development through data-driven analysis and process improvement.

What you'll do#

• Gather project requirements and assist in defining objectives and schedules.
• Collect, analyze, and simulate data to validate warehouse processes and current labour standards.
• Utilize tools such as Tableau, Excel, process mapping, and benchmarking to solve operational problems.
• Identify opportunities for productivity improvements and staff retraining.
• Support external engineering audits and validations regarding ELS.
• Provide training support for Regional Supply Chain (RSC) staff on preferred operational methods.
• Build relationships with front-line management in both union and non-union environments.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related program.
• Proficiency in working with data, building spreadsheets, and analyzing results.
• Ability to connect with diverse teams and explain complex ideas clearly.
• A proactive mindset, including the ability to ask questions, seek opportunities, and take ownership of tasks.
• An interest in understanding how systems function and identifying ways to improve them.
