Finance Co-op

About the role#

This is an 8-month Finance Co-op position based at the Sobeys corporate office in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. You will work with the finance and category management teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities. This role provides exposure to financial modeling and data analysis within a large-scale retail environment.

What you'll do#

• Build and update financial models in Excel to support budgeting and forecasting decisions.
• Extract and organize financial data from SAP, ensuring accuracy and readiness for analysis.
• Track forecasting accuracy and identify insights to improve future financial plans.
• Utilize Excel and emerging AI tools to generate insights and recommend improvements to forecasting processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting by delivering clear, actionable outputs based on financial analysis.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, with an interest in building financial models.
• Experience working with data and a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and generate insights.
• Interest in forecasting, financial planning, and continuous improvement.
