About the role#
This internship focuses on Braid Wire and Braid Design Theory. You will work to revise current engineering calculations to improve how we predict hose performance. You will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while working cross-functionally with mentorship and advisement.
What you'll do#
- Study Braid Wire and advance Braid Design Theory.
- Update engineering calculations to better predict hose performance.
- Develop mathematical theory and validate it with test results.
- Collaborate with other teams through mentorship and guidance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science at a four-year university.
- Strong background in analytical modeling and Material Science.
- Proficiency in programming, Excel, or Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, and statistical data analysis.
- Ability to provide an academic transcript with your application.
