About the role#
The SOM Summer Internship Program is a full-time opportunity for students to gain professional experience in architecture. Interns join our San Francisco studio to learn from experts and contribute to active design projects. The program runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to design projects.
- Build your design and visualization skills.
- Participate in in-person and virtual learning events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited bachelor or master degree program in architecture or a related field.
- You must be returning to school in the fall of 2027.
- Some experience in the architectural profession or associated arts.
- Strong design capabilities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and visualization software.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- A portfolio (one PDF, 10-20 pages, maximum 5 MB) is required for your application to be reviewed.

- Compensation: $25 to $27 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and education.
