About the role#
The Validation Engineering Intern assists the team with bench testing and data collection to ensure integrated circuits meet performance and functionality targets. You will work alongside design engineers to conduct experiments and investigate future designs.
What you'll do#
- Automate lab data collection and data analysis using Python.
- Design schematics for high-speed signal PCBs.
- Debug and analyze device failures returned by customers.
- Develop and document bench testing platforms for device validation and characterization.
- Conduct testing on timing products including synthesizers, buffers, and analog or digital PLLs.
- Create validation plans and execute specific validation tasks.
- Analyze bench data and prepare reports on device performance.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in English for communication and collaboration.
- At least one year of regular experience using Python.
- Hands-on experience with serial communication protocols like I2C, SPI, RS232, UART, USB, or CAN.
- Experience with schematic and layout design for mixed-signal PCBs, preferably using Allegro.
- Familiarity with PCB signal integrity simulation tools such as Hyperlynx or Ansys.
- Knowledge of lab automation using LabVIEW or Python.
- Experience with PLLs and timing devices.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills in a lab environment.

- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
