About the role#
This paid internship program provides undergraduate and graduate students with hands-on experience in book publishing. You will work alongside professionals in departments such as editorial, marketing, publicity, sales, and production. The program offers insight into how books move through the publishing process and helps you build skills relevant to an entry-level career. You will receive guidance and feedback from a mentor throughout the eight-week term.
What you'll do#
- Support ongoing projects through research, writing, organizing materials, and administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with team members and gain exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of an entry-level publishing assistant.
- Participate in relevant department and company meetings to learn about publishing priorities.
- Receive regular feedback from your mentor as you develop your skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student.
- An interest in book publishing and enthusiasm for learning about the industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to stay organized and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and a willingness to ask questions and take initiative.
Location & details#
- Location: Stoughton, Massachusetts.
- Duration: Eight weeks beginning in February 2027.
- Schedule: Two full days per week, totaling 16 hours weekly.
- Compensation: $16.50 per hour.
