About the role#
Simon Roofing offers a paid internship program for mechanical engineering students. You will work 20 hours per week at our Struthers, Ohio location. This role provides practical experience through real projects and exposure to various engineering and operations disciplines.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems.
- Conduct research and analysis tasks.
- Collaborate with teams to solve technical problems.
- Participate in testing and validation processes.
- Gain experience with industry tools and software.
What you'll need#
- An Associate or Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Hands-on mechanical experience.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- The ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
- Understanding of electrical concepts, fluid dynamics, and machinery.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
