About the role#
The Asset Operations Intern supports the development of foundational operational documentation and process standardization. You will partner with the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team to document workflows, create process maps, and help build the initial Level 1 O&M Playbook. This position provides exposure to Asset Management, Performance, Remote Operations, and NERC compliance activities while helping create resources for long-term operational success.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and documentation of the Level 1 O&M Playbook.
- Collaborate with O&M team members and subject matter experts to gather information and document operational processes.
- Create, update, and maintain process flow diagrams using Microsoft Visio or similar tools.
- Facilitate the review, revision, and validation of process documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Draft and format Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and related operational documentation.
- Organize and maintain process documentation libraries and version control practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve process clarity, workflow efficiency, and documentation standards.
- Participate in meetings and projects related to Asset Management, Performance, Remote Operations, and NERC activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to gather, organize, and document information from multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience using Microsoft Visio or other process-mapping software is preferred.
- Coursework or experience related to process improvement, business operations, or project management is preferred.
- Interest in renewable energy, utility operations, asset management, or industrial operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with process documentation, workflow analysis, or SOP development is preferred.
- Experience working on team projects that required collaboration and attention to detail is preferred.

- This is a paid, full-time internship.
