About the role#
As a Systems Engineer I, you will apply foundational skills to support our engineering team. You will work on requirements engineering, systems integration, Verification and Validation (V&V), and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tasks. This role involves assisting with system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management under supervision. You will contribute to project tasks while building your knowledge of architecture, design development, and lifecycle management.

What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in systems engineering or a related field.
- Must have been an SNC summer 2026 intern.
- Basic understanding of systems modeling and simulation tools, as well as general engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Conceptual knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, systems design, and technical risk identification.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Preferred: Internship or cooperative education experience, INCOSE (ASEP) certification, and experience with tools like DOORS, Cameo, or MATLAB.
- Preferred: Familiarity with baseline definition, trade studies, analysis of alternatives, and Technical Performance Measurements (TPM).
