About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will join the team for the Summer 2027 term. This program provides hands-on experience in an aerospace and defense environment. You will work alongside industry experts on technical projects and participate in workshops to build your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to team objectives by completing assigned technical tasks.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records.
- Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting technical data to support engineering decisions.
- Attend planning meetings to understand project requirements, timelines, and team goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support the implementation of best practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in a degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- U.S. Citizenship status is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Folsom, California.
- This position requires the ability to work in a laboratory or workshop environment, which may involve exposure to loud noise levels or hazardous conditions.
- You may be required to sit at a computer for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
