About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern at ShopBack, you will own a scoped project from design through to production. You will work with AI agents as teammates to build, test, and verify your work. This role is focused on shipping real features that impact millions of users across our global platform.
What you'll do#
- Own a project from initial design to production deployment.
- Ship code that is used by our members.
- Collaborate with AI agents to build tools, skills, or workflows for your team.
- Write tests and evaluations to verify the quality and reliability of AI-powered work.
What you'll need#
- Strong fundamentals in software engineering, including clean code, design patterns, data structures, and APIs.
- Applied experience building projects outside of class, such as hackathons or open source work.
- Practical experience using AI beyond simple prompting, such as building apps on LLM APIs or automating tasks.
- A curious and critical mindset toward AI outputs.
- Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
