About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern at Serval, you will work directly on core parts of our platform. This is a hands-on position where you will contribute production code, learn how an early-stage product is built, and see your work shipped to customers.
What you'll do#
- Work closely with our CTO and founding engineering team to build and extend backend product capabilities.
- Contribute to backend services that power our AI-driven automation workflows.
- Learn how to design, implement, and test scalable systems in a production environment.
- Help us move quickly toward key product milestones, including shipping and iterating on core platform features.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related engineering field, with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and 2028.
- Strong fundamentals in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and systems.
- Familiarity with at least one backend programming language, such as Go, Java, or Python.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to learn quickly.
- Excitement about startups, taking ownership, and building products from the ground up.
