As a Software Engineer Intern at Serval, you will work directly on core platform components. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute production code, learn the mechanics of building an early-stage product, and see your work shipped to customers while working alongside the CTO and founding engineering team.
What you'll do#
- Build and extend backend product capabilities.
- Contribute to backend services that power AI-driven automation workflows.
- Design, implement, and test scalable systems in a production environment.
- Assist in hitting key product milestones by shipping and iterating on core platform features.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and 2028.
- Strong fundamentals in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and systems.
- Familiarity with at least one backend programming language such as Go, Java, or Python.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to learn quickly.
- Interest in startup environments, taking ownership, and building products from the ground up.
