About the role#
Sensata Technologies offers interns the opportunity to work on technical projects within our engineering divisions. This internship provides a concentrated view of engineering work through direct feedback from managers and peers, training courses, and project-based learning. You will join a team to solve technical problems and contribute to business needs.
What you'll do#
- Build, test, and debug prototype samples.
- Support high volume production lines.
- Create engineering prints and specifications.
- Apply statistical methods to data analysis.
- Interface with customers regarding key design issues.
- Perform design verification using diagnostic and experimental methods.
- Determine design approaches and parameters.
- Evaluate equipment to establish operating data and conduct experimental tests.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S., M.Eng., or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
- U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident status.
- Eligibility to obtain authorization under ITAR and EAR regulations.
- Ability to apply core engineering concepts to complex or novel problems.
- Ability to communicate technical information to peers, managers, and customers.
- Initiative, creativity, and a drive to achieve goals.
- Experience working effectively within a team.
