About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Hancock, Wisconsin. You will work on-site from May 2027 through September or October 2027. The role focuses on supporting agricultural operations and coordinating with local growers.
What you'll do#
- Advise growers throughout the farming and harvest cycle.
- Supervise the receiving, handling, and shipment of raw products at assigned stations.
- Monitor planting operations to ensure proper seed bed maintenance.
- Inspect fields for crop production, weed growth, and pest issues.
- Negotiate raw product purchases as directed by management.
- Maintain accurate records for contracting and consulting activities.
- Train seasonal staff and enforce department safety programs.
- Build professional relationships with landowners, equipment dealers, suppliers, and growers.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Agriculture.
- Ability to consult with growers on farming practices.
- Experience or aptitude for supervising product handling and seasonal staff.
- Skill in monitoring crop health and field conditions.
- Capacity to negotiate purchases and maintain detailed records.
- Commitment to executing safety protocols in an agricultural setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with various industry partners.
