About the role#
This internship provides full immersion in athletic training services for Seattle Reign FC. You will work closely with professional athletes and the medical staff, including the Medical Director and athletic trainers, to gain clinical experience. The role requires professional conduct and maturity at all times. This is an unpaid educational internship designed to fulfill clinical credit requirements for your degree program.
What you'll do#
- Perform evaluation, assessment, and documentation of injuries.
- Provide pre- and post-training treatments and support match day treatments.
- Assist with rehab programming and facilitation.
- Serve on the match day stretcher crew.
- Manage hydration and medical equipment set up and take down for training and match days.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Master of Science degree program in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited institution.
- Ability to receive academic credit for this clinical rotation.
- Current CPR/BLS certification and completion of SafeSport training.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to lift 20+ pounds and stand for extended periods.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Tukwila, Washington, at the Starfire Sports Complex and Lumen Field.
- The role is on-site and requires local travel.
- You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- The schedule follows the team calendar, which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, averaging 30 to 35 hours per week.
- The internship covers the Summer and Fall 2027 terms.
