About the role#
As a Small Business Advisor Intern, you will join the Scotiabank Canadian branch network. This role focuses on delivering service to small business clients and building professional relationships. You will work within a team environment to support client success and achieve business objectives.
What you'll do#
- Manage a portfolio of high-performing small business accounts.
- Build and maintain relationships with local business influencers.
- Provide informed advice to new and existing clients to support their business goals.
- Collaborate with other advisors to create a client-centered environment.
- Achieve client retention goals and other negotiated performance objectives.
What you'll need#
- Education in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of the small business market, including product offerings and competitive landscape.
- Ability to analyze financial statements and understand risk management policies.
- Strong organizational skills to manage tasks in a changing environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
