About the role#
SBA Pro-Life America is looking for a Social Media Fellow to grow our digital presence in Iowa. You will create short-form content, track political trends, and engage young voters across the state. This role is ideal for someone interested in digital strategy and political communications. We offer the flexibility to structure this position as either part-time or full-time.
What you'll do#
- Participate in weekly digital planning meetings and team huddles.
- Monitor conservative news, Iowa politics, and social media trends.
- Brief the Communications Team on important local developments.
- Write scripts, direct, and produce original short-form content like reaction videos and interviews.
- Develop creative video content supporting our Iowa efforts and national policy priorities.
- Identify and engage college and young adult groups.
- Build student coalitions to help activate voters.
- Coordinate social media collaborations with Iowa influencers and partners.
- Track outreach and engagement using organized spreadsheets.
What you'll need#
- A commitment to the pro-life mission.
- Experience with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Basic skills in scriptwriting, video editing, and content planning.
- An interest in Iowa politics, conservative media, and current events.
- Strong organizational skills and experience managing contact lists.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
- A resourceful approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: You must be based in Iowa. This role is remote.
- Compensation: $15 to $18 per hour.
- Schedule: Full-time or part-time options available, with some evening and weekend work required for events.
- Travel: Some travel may be required for specific activities.
