Student Grocery Clerk

About the role#

Lake Country Co-op is seeking part-time Student Grocery Clerks to join the team at our Food Store in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. This role focuses on maintaining store operations, ensuring inventory freshness, and providing service to our members and guests.

What you'll do#

• Provide service to guests and assist with packing groceries.
• Stock and face shelves and perform cart retrieval.
• Maintain a clean and organized department by managing spills, cleaning displays, and keeping aisles clear.
• Monitor inventory code dates to ensure freshness and follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices.
• Support the company vision and safety principles through a customer-focused approach.
• Maintain store security by remaining alert against unauthorized removal of merchandise.

What you'll need#

• Strong customer service orientation and the ability to assist guests in a courteous manner.
• Familiarity with Food Safe procedures and practices.
• Physical ability to lift and load products (25-50 lbs), climb ladders, and kneel.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Current enrollment in Business Administration, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
