Student Grocery Clerk

About the role#

Lake Country Co-op is seeking a part-time Student Grocery Clerk to join the team at our Food Store in La Ronge, Saskatchewan. This position involves less than 15 hours per week and focuses on maintaining store operations while delivering excellent service to our members and guests.

What you'll do#

• Provide service to guests at all touch points.
• Pack groceries, stock products, face shelves, and perform cart retrieval.
• Maintain a clean and organized department, including cleaning shelves, bins, displays, and keeping aisles free of debris.
• Monitor code dates and follow first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices to ensure inventory freshness.
• Maintain store security by staying alert against the unauthorized removal of merchandise.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Grocery Team Leader.

What you'll need#

• A strong service-oriented mindset with the ability to assist customers courteously and efficiently.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting 25-50 lbs.
• Familiarity with Food Safe procedures and practices.
• Capability to work with a high level of production and minimal supervision.
• A flexible work schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Pursuing or interested in a career in retail store operations and customer service.
