About the role#
The Maintenance Manager oversees the day-to-day operations and development of the Maintenance department. This role involves the organization, coordination, and direction of all work orders for Saskatoon Co-op owned and leased buildings. You will report to the Vice President of Asset Protection and ensure all departmental administration meets period-end and year-end requirements.
What you'll do#
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans for buildings and fixed assets, including coolers and freezers.
- Manage fleet vehicles and trailers to ensure compliance with company expectations and government safety regulations.
- Prepare the annual maintenance department budget and manage daily operations within those guidelines.
- Provide annual reports on major repairs or replacements, including cost estimates and quotes.
- Establish and maintain an inventory of tools and supplies.
- Address safety-related concerns, such as fire protection, building security, equipment lockout, and lighting.
- Collaborate with the Health and Safety specialist to address identified hazards.
- Support Operations teams with expansions, builds, and renovations.
- Manage contractors, including verifying signed contracts, safety documentation, certifications, and WCB paperwork.
- Adhere to collective bargaining agreement expectations.
What you'll need#
- 7+ years of supervisory experience in facilities and equipment management.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain high production levels with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and self-motivation.
- Journeyman Trade status is considered an asset.
