Gas Bar Attendant (Part-Time)

About the role#

Central Alberta Co-op is seeking a part-time Gas Bar Attendant to join the team at the Taylor Gas Bar in Red Deer. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the daily operations of the fuel station. This position is part of the Alberta Youth Incentive Program, supporting the hiring of individuals aged 15 to 24.

What you'll do#

• Provide outstanding customer service to every visitor.
• Process fuel and merchandise payments efficiently.
• Dispense fuel and propane with precision.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform windshield cleaning and check oil or fluid levels.
• Receive, unpack, and display merchandise.
• Perform car wash cleaning duties as needed.
• Support marketing initiatives to enhance the customer experience.

What you'll need#

• Must be at least 16 years old to comply with government regulations for dispensing fuel and propane.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, as some heavy lifting is required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous cash handling and customer service experience is preferred.
• Previous experience in fuel dispensing is considered an asset, though training is available.

Location & details#

• Location: Red Deer, Alberta.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Part-time, 24-36 hours per week. Availability required for weekdays and weekends, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
