Bakery Clerk

About the role#

Swan Valley Co-op is seeking a part-time Bakery Clerk to join the team at our Food Store in Swan River, Manitoba. This role focuses on maintaining high standards for fresh baked goods and providing excellent service to our member-owners.

What you'll do#

• Utilize the production schedule to determine the variety and quantity of goods to bake.
• Follow established Co-op procedures to produce high-quality baked items.
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming orders, ensuring all products are placed in the correct temperature-controlled environments.
• Prepare, package, and price baked goods for sale.
• Display and rotate products according to established guidelines.
• Process customer bakery orders, prepare accurate invoices, and provide efficient customer service.
• Maintain sanitation standards, care for equipment, and keep the work area clean.

What you'll need#

• A strong service orientation with the ability to serve customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Capability to operate all required bakery equipment.
• Availability for early morning shifts, including a 5 a.m. start time.
• A trustworthy and results-oriented approach to work.
• A commitment to building relationships and collaborating with the team to meet customer needs.
