About the role#
As a New Platform Development Intern, you will support the Deli Business Unit by working on innovation strategy and opportunity identification. You will lead two high-impact projects designed to strengthen future innovation capabilities for the company. This role offers exposure to the full product development process and involves collaboration across multiple departments including Insights, R&D, Sales, and Finance.
What you'll do#
- Synthesize emerging trends across consumers, competitors, retailers, and adjacent markets to assess growth opportunities.
- Identify and prioritize future growth platforms based on consumer needs and strategic fit.
- Develop new platform recommendations including target occasions and value propositions.
- Present a prioritized Deli dips opportunity roadmap.
- Assess current innovation processes and organize key resources into a centralized, scalable knowledge hub.
- Research and benchmark AI applications relevant to consumer packaged goods.
- Evaluate opportunities to enhance development processes through AI-enabled tools and develop an AI prompt library.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and participate in research reviews, ideation sessions, and project discussions.
- Deliver an executive recommendation presentation at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Consumer Insights, Innovation, Food Science, Data Analytics, AI, or a related field.
- Status as a rising Senior or graduate student with strong academic performance.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience conducting research, analyzing information, and presenting recommendations.
- Familiarity with AI tools, data analysis, or innovation methodologies.
- Demonstrated leadership through coursework, organizations, internships, or extracurricular activities.
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and a vehicle are required for this role.
Location & details#
- Location: Plymouth, Wisconsin.
- Modality: Hybrid (onsite Mondays through Thursdays, optional remote Fridays).
- This is a paid, part-time internship.
