Nursing Intern- MSTICU

About the role#

The Nursing Intern position in the Medical Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (MSTICU) offers nursing students the opportunity to gain clinical experience within a hospital setting. This is a paid, PRN position requiring a minimum of one shift per six-week schedule.

What you'll do#

• Perform clinical procedures and provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Support other healthcare team members in their daily operations.
• Execute technical tasks as permitted by unit competency validation.
• Note that interns are restricted from performing any tasks that require professional licensure.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an accredited RN program.
• Completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing course.
• An expected graduation date in 2026, 2027, or 2028.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or the Red Cross.
