About the role#
Saga Education is hiring a Math Tutor for a Federal Work-Study position supporting 6th-grade students at Whitcomb Middle School. This is a part-time, remote role that runs from September 2026 through May 2027. You will provide virtual tutoring sessions to help students build their mathematical understanding and confidence.
What you'll do#
- Provide virtual, high-impact math tutoring to 6th-grade students.
- Support two students at a time during sessions.
- Prepare and deliver math lessons using the provided curriculum.
- Participate in asynchronous training sessions to learn high-impact tutoring techniques.
- Maintain consistent attendance for all scheduled tutoring sessions.
- Use the proprietary Saga Education virtual platform.

- An engaging on-camera presence for all tutoring sessions.
- A willingness to learn and apply new tutoring techniques.
- Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting process.
Location & details#
- Location: Remote (supporting Whitcomb Middle School in Marlborough, Massachusetts).
- Schedule: Approximately 2.5 hours per week. Sessions occur Mondays and Tuesdays from 2:45 PM to 4:00 PM ET.
- Compensation: $25 per hour.
- Status: Part-time, Federal Work-Study program.
- Terms: Fall 2026, Winter 2027, and Spring 2027.
