About the role#
We are looking for interns to join our Real Property Tax team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside subject matter experts to identify tax savings opportunities for large-scale clients. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Austin, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Provide client service to multi-state companies to identify tax savings opportunities.
- Assist with state and local tax controversies by preparing clients for auditor discussions, drafting protests, and representing clients at hearings or appeal meetings.
- Research and draft technical memoranda regarding tax questions.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and tax authorities.
- Review documentation and perform detailed calculations using raw data.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or Economics.
- Graduation date within one year of the internship.
- Minimum overall and major GPA of 2.8.
- Completion of 6 to 12 accounting hours, depending on the specific practice.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and within a team.
- A valid driver’s license.
