About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship for 2027 based in Boston. You will work with subject matter experts to identify tax savings opportunities for large companies. This role focuses on abandoned and unclaimed property consulting within a hybrid work environment.
What you'll do#
- Identify tax savings opportunities for multi-state clients.
- Assist with tax controversies by preparing clients for auditor discussions.
- Represent clients at hearings and appeal meetings.
- Prepare protests and respond to requests from tax authorities.
- Research and draft technical memoranda regarding tax issues.
- Review documentation and perform detailed calculations using raw data.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or Economics.
- Anticipated graduation date within one year of the internship.
- Minimum overall and major GPA of 2.8.
- Completion of 6 to 12 accounting hours.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver’s license.
