About the role#
The Low Voltage Motor Control Center (LVMCC) Application Engineering Intern assists in creating custom motor control center solutions across various industries. You will manage your own projects with varying milestones while collaborating with Sales, Commercial Engineering, Development Engineering, Manufacturing, and Tech Support. You will report to the Senior Application Engineering Lead.
What you'll do#
- Review and understand customer specifications and drawings.
- Interface with customers on technical and commercial aspects of orders.
- Resolve and document exceptions or questions.
- Develop a working knowledge of Rockwell products.
- Create or modify electrical schematics and mechanical models of electrical component assemblies.
- Provide final factory build documents, including the Bill of Material (BOM).
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to provide build instructions.
- Support manufacturing by resolving technical issues during the build process.
- Assist on productivity or tools enhancement projects.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or a similar engineering field at an accredited university.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or later, with at least one semester of school remaining after the internship concludes.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Experience with PLCs, CAD, schematic design, Ladder Logic, SolidWorks, and Studio 5000.
- Experience communicating engineering support, updates, and resolutions to customers.
- Ability to work in the greater Milwaukee area, with the potential to continue part-time during the school year.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship with an hourly pay range of $22 to $32.
- The role is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Richland Center, Wisconsin.
- This position follows a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to work on-site at a Rockwell location on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
