Rocketship Public Schools is seeking a School Psychologist Intern to provide direct and indirect support to students, families, and staff. This full-time role focuses on ensuring high-quality programming for students with disabilities across multiple elementary school sites. Interns work under the supervision of the Manager of Psychological Services to support academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs within an inclusive education model.
What you'll do#
- Lead psycho-educational and formal behavior assessments and write compliant reports.
- Attend IEP meetings to present assessment findings to the team.
- Participate in the pre-referral process and consult with school teams on intervention supports.
- Assist in the implementation of assessment recommendations.
- Work with parents to build knowledge regarding disability and inclusive support strategies.
- Collaborate with school leaders to implement Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and support inclusive classroom plans.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Masters and Credentialing Program for School Psychology (NASP accreditation is highly preferred).
- Experience working with elementary-age students and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support is highly preferred.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred.
- Possession of a valid California driver’s license or equivalent, with the ability to travel between school sites.
