About the role#
The CO-OP Student Sponsorship Program provides students with an opportunity to earn an Associate Degree while gaining technical experience. Participants receive paid tuition for approved Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, or related equipment programs, along with coverage for books, fees, tools, and uniforms. The program includes paid summer internships and mentorship from experienced technicians to prepare students for a career in the equipment industry.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside experienced technicians to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair material handling, construction, and aerial equipment.
- Assist with troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Learn diagnostic and repair techniques using advanced tools and technology.
- Participate in technical training and professional development opportunities.
- Develop safe work habits while following company policies and procedures.
- Represent the company professionally at work, school, and within the community.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or graduation prior to program start.
- Enrollment or plans to enroll in an approved Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, or related equipment program.
- Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through school, hobbies, work experience, or personal projects.
- Ability to solve problems and work with your hands.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean work environment and a strong attendance record.
