About the role#
The CO-OP Student Sponsorship Program offers students the opportunity to earn an Associate Degree while building technical skills through a combination of education, mentorship, and hands-on experience. This paid program includes tuition coverage for approved Automotive, Diesel, or related equipment programs, as well as provided books, fees, tools, and uniforms. Participants will engage in paid summer internships and receive personalized mentorship to prepare for a career in the equipment industry.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside experienced technicians inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing material handling, construction, and aerial equipment.
- Assist with troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Learn industry-leading diagnostic and repair techniques using advanced tools and technology.
- Participate in technical training and professional development opportunities.
- Develop safe work habits while following company policies and procedures.
- Represent the company professionally at work, school, and within the community.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or graduation prior to the program start.
- Enrollment or planned enrollment in an approved Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, or related equipment program.
- Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through school, hobbies, work experience, or personal projects.
- Ability to solve problems and work with your hands.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attendance record and a positive attitude.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Intent to pursue a long-term career with the company after graduation.
