About the role#
Ricoh is seeking a Software Developer Co-op for the Fall 2026 work term. You will join the Global Solutions Engineering group to contribute to software products used by businesses ranging from small enterprises to global organizations. The team develops solutions based on scalable cloud and server architectures, primarily using Java. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced developers in a productive environment while expanding your technical expertise.
What you'll do#
- Work independently or as part of a development team under the guidance of a manager or senior developer.
- Analyze requirements and specification documents.
- Perform detailed design and coding tasks.
- Complete unit and integration testing to ensure functionality.
- Create technical documentation for your designs and implementations.
- Investigate and respond to technical inquiries from external software developers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university degree or college diploma program, preferably in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
- Status as a student currently seeking a co-op placement.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills.
- Experience with software development, specifically Java or C#.
- Familiarity with Core Java, Java OEM, Android, or iOS technologies.
- Knowledge of Java development tools such as Eclipse, Ant, Maven, SVN, and Apache Tomcat is preferred.
