About the role#
As a Field Intern at RES, you will support experienced Field Engineers on renewable energy projects. This position provides hands-on experience with daily field operations and project management. Interns work on specific assignments that contribute to larger project goals over a 10-week period. This is a full-time, on-site role that requires frequent travel.
What you'll do#
- Conduct safety walks and promote safe behaviors on-site.
- Verify that field installations match engineered IFC drawings.
- Assist with maintaining project documentation and tracking tools, including submittal logs and material tracking.
- Help the team resolve technical issues that arise in the field.
- Attend project meetings, take minutes, and share them with the management team.
- Support quality inspections and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain professional communication to support client relationships.
- Operate company vehicles safely in various road and weather conditions.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a BS in Construction Management, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent degree.
- Ability to travel 76-100% of the time and relocate to project locations as needed.
- A valid driver's license.
- Comfort learning and using new software systems.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous construction experience is preferred.
