About the role#
As a Field Co-op Intern, you will support experienced Field Engineers with daily operations and project assignments. This role provides direct exposure to the day-to-day work of field engineering in the renewable energy sector. Co-op terms typically last 8 months. You will work on-site and must be prepared to relocate to various project locations as needed.
What you'll do#
- Conduct safety walks and promote a safety-oriented work environment.
- Verify field installations against engineered IFC drawings.
- Maintain and update project documentation and tracking tools, including submittal logs, material tracking, and RFIs.
- Assist the team in resolving technical issues that arise in the field.
- Attend project meetings, record minutes, and distribute them to the team.
- Communicate with clients to maintain professional relationships.
- Perform quality field inspections.
- Operate company vehicles safely in various road and weather conditions.
- Collaborate with peers and supervisors to support continuous improvement.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a BS program for Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to travel 76-100% of the time and work at any project location.
- A valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in adopting and navigating new software systems.
- US citizenship and at least 18 years of age.
- Previous construction experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site position.
- Locations include Golden Shores, Arizona, and Palmer, Texas.
- Employment is contingent on passing a background check and drug test.
