Mechanical Engineering Co-op (Fall 2026)

About the role#

The Engineering Co-op provides mechanical and electrical design support for new product development and the improvement of existing components. This role involves translating high-level design concepts into detailed specifications and gaining hands-on experience with motor design principles. You will work directly with design engineers to support testing, documentation, and manufacturing processes.

What you'll do#

• Perform testing to support customer requests and inquiries.
• Execute design and documentation tasks for development projects.
• Support manufacturing design and process change requests.
• Lead design change investigations with opportunities for increased responsibility.
• Manage 3D printer operations, including file loading, material handling, and maintenance.
• Prepare layout, detail, and assembly drawings, as well as Bills of Materials and Engineering Change Orders.
• Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to create test plans.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Basic 3D modeling knowledge in Solidworks.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for working within team environments.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
