Electronics Co-Op (Fall 2026)

About the role#

The Engineering Co-op provides mechanical and electrical support for the development of new components and the improvement of existing products. You will work alongside design, quality, and manufacturing teams to translate design concepts into detailed specifications, perform hands-on testing, and support production activities.

What you'll do#

• Perform product and material testing to support customer requests, urgent deviations, and rapid turn-around needs.
• Assist with prototype development and testing for active New Product Developments (NPDs).
• Support manufacturing and quality teams with daily engineering tasks, process changes, and plant support.
• Review drawings and material specifications for deviation and engineering change requests.
• Collaborate with mechanical design engineers to create and support test plans.
• Manage 3D printer operations, including file loading, part removal, and routine maintenance.
• Assist with documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and engineering change orders.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Basic 3D modeling experience, with a preference for SolidWorks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a team-based environment.
