About the role#
The Engineering Technology Co-op Student provides mechanical and electrical testing support for new and existing components. You will work alongside engineering technicians and design engineers to set up, execute, and report on engineering tests, including data collection. This role provides exposure to electrical and mechanical build-ups and teardowns while working with global, cross-functional teams.
What you'll do#
- Perform testing to support customer requests and inquiries.
- Participate in development projects by executing concept validation, design qualification, and manufacturing validation testing, including documentation.
- Conduct reliability testing for new product development launch programs.
- Support product sustainability engineering and agency teams through test execution.
- Complete required training, including onboarding, safety, monthly lab procedures, soldering, and specific equipment operation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Associate or Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with hand tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems.
