About the role#
The Access Your Future Service Internship is a hands-on program designed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world heavy equipment maintenance. You will work alongside experienced technicians in Grand Forks, gaining practical experience with machinery from brands like John Deere, Wirtgen, and Vermeer. This is a paid, full-time rolling internship position.
What you'll do#
- Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service heavy equipment.
- Document machine details, parts used, and repair work on service orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure shop efficiency and safety.
- Learn from mentors while developing technical skills in diagnostics and troubleshooting.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an approved Heavy Equipment Service, Diesel Technology, or related technical service program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Experience using mechanical tools.
- Strong computer skills for documentation and diagnostic tasks.
- Valid work authorization for the United States (sponsorship is not available).

- Location: Grand Forks, North Dakota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20 to $24 per hour.
- Program benefits: Includes potential for full-time employment after graduation, company-paid tools, a $5,000 graduation sign-on bonus, and up to $20,000 in financial incentives.
