About the role#
As a Relationship Manager Intern in our Commercial Banking platform, you will work in a proactive, face-to-face client role. This 10-month program is based primarily in a Commercial Centre and includes a mentor to coach you through your training. You will learn to deliver responsive service to commercial business clients regarding accounts, operating services, credit, lending, and deposits. Training involves on-the-job experience, self-study, online courses, and classroom sessions.
What you'll do#
- Provide tailored financial advice and solutions to your clients.
- Use sales planning, prospecting, and pre-call tools to manage your workflow.
- Improve the client experience through a continuous-improvement approach.
- Build and execute a needs-based sales strategy to grow revenue and deepen client loyalty.
What you'll need#
- A post-secondary diploma or degree, ideally in business administration or commerce.
- Previous banking experience in a relationship management role.
- Experience in commercial lending is preferred.
- A track record of success in business development, including prospecting and cold calling.
- Experience with financial statement review and computer modeling.
- Familiarity with digital communication tools, social media, and mobile applications.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- An entrepreneurial attitude and self-motivation.
- A commitment to continuous learning and understanding diverse customer needs.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- The role is on-site at various locations including Toronto, Richmond Hill, Mississauga, Markham, and Vaughan.
