About the role#
The Sourcing/Supplier Quality Engineer Intern provides technical support for supplier quality projects. You will work within the Supply Chain and Quality department to assist with projects from initial scope definition through final implementation. This role is based in Bloomington, Minnesota, for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Provide internal technical support for purchased materials.
- Assist with supplier evaluations and corrective actions.
- Update documentation such as inspection procedures and drawings.
- Implement process improvements for incoming materials, purchasing, and suppliers.
- Partner with internal teams including sales, marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
- Support compliance with the company Quality System, ISO standards, and medical device requirements.
- Complete other assigned work duties.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year degree program for Supply Chain, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, requirements, and procedure manuals.
- Project management and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow through on commitments and work well within a team.
