Tax JD - Intern

About the role#

As a Tax JD Intern, you will join the tax services team to provide advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. You will work on a variety of assignments, supporting tax teams and participating in projects across areas such as International Tax (ITS), Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), Real Estate, and State and Local Tax (SALT). This role is designed to help you gain practical experience, develop your professional brand, and understand how to navigate complex tax regulations.

What you'll do#

• Support tax teams with various tasks and contribute to client projects.
• Conduct research to assist in tax-related assignments and analyze tax laws, rules, and regulations.
• Observe and learn from professional work environments while applying firm practices and methodologies.
• Take initiative to ask questions, seek feedback, and produce quality work that adds value to client projects.
• Develop your personal brand through active engagement with team members and firm management.

What you'll need#

• Juris Doctorate degree.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• A commitment to meeting educational requirements and undertaking the Bar exam before starting full-time.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in tax, with a preference for backgrounds in Accounting or Taxation.
• Ability to analyze large, complex data sets and investigate business and industry trends.
