Tax JD - Intern

About the role#

As a Tax JD Intern at PwC, you will support tax teams by participating in diverse projects and gaining exposure to professional tax practices. This internship is designed to provide practical experience in tax planning, compliance, and strategy, allowing you to contribute to client projects while developing your professional brand. You will work on a variety of assignments that offer different challenges and scopes, encouraging you to take initiative and seek feedback.

What you'll do#

• Support tax teams with daily tasks and project-based assignments.
• Conduct research to assist in tax-related work and analyze tax laws, rules, and regulations.
• Participate in diverse projects to gain practical experience in areas such as International Tax, M&A, Real Estate, and State and Local Tax (SALT).
• Observe professional work environments and apply firm practices and methodologies.
• Produce quality work that adds significance to client projects.
• Develop your personal brand through active engagement and collaboration with firm and client management.

What you'll need#

• A Juris Doctorate degree.
• A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• A commitment to undertaking and passing the Bar exam before starting full-time employment.
• A Juris Doctorate in Taxation is preferred; an Accounting background is also preferred.
• Strong self-motivation and a demonstrated desire for personal and professional growth.
• Ability to work with large, complex data sets and an interest in automation and digitization in professional services.
