Intern - Plant Operations

About the role#

PVS Chemicals is seeking a Summer Plant Operations Intern for a three-week program at our Detroit, Michigan facility. This role provides hands-on exposure to industrial chemical manufacturing, offering insight into plant engineering, maintenance, production supervision, and general management. You will work alongside plant personnel to learn about manufacturing processes and workplace safety standards.

What you'll do#

• Assist with general plant projects and day-to-day operational activities.
• Observe and support plant maintenance activities as directed.
• Review and organize technical documents, procedures, and drawings.
• Gain exposure to plant production operations and process flow.
• Shadow leadership personnel across multiple departments.
• Participate in safety discussions and follow all plant safety requirements.
• Assist with general administrative and organizational tasks.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
• Strong willingness to learn and ask questions.
• Ability to work in both office and industrial plant environments.
• Positive attitude and professional conduct.

• Location: Detroit, Michigan.
• Term: Summer 2026 (approximately 3 weeks).
• Modality: On-site.
• This is a full-time, paid internship. Safety training and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.
