The HR Technology Intern will support the Human Resources team with projects focused on the organization’s UKG system. This role involves digitizing employee records, organizing HR documents for electronic storage, and supporting form conversion initiatives. You will work closely with the HR Systems Manager to gain hands-on experience with HR operations, document management, and system administration in a professional, confidential environment.
What you'll do#
- Scan paper employee files and prepare them for upload and retention in UKG.
- Upload, index, and organize documents according to established naming conventions and filing standards.
- Convert HR policies, procedures, and reference materials into formats suitable for UKG electronic storage.
- Assist with converting existing fillable PDF forms into UKG-compatible formats.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure documents are complete, accurate, and properly categorized.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with data privacy, security, and retention requirements.
- Support additional HR technology and system projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF tools.
- Ability to manage repetitive, detail-oriented tasks with accuracy.
- Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential employee information.
- Willingness to learn new systems and technologies.

- Location: Detroit, Michigan, USA.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, dependent upon experience.
- Requirements: Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
