About the role#
This internship focuses on supporting research initiatives within the Healthcare Administration department. You will assist the study coordinator with daily operations, participant engagement, and data management to support the organization's mission of providing integrated care to individuals experiencing homelessness.
What you'll do#
- Manage and conduct recruitment and retention activities, including identifying eligible participants and obtaining informed consent.
- Collect data through chart reviews, including tracking appointment adherence and cancer screening completion.
- Administer semi-structured interviews and transcribe the results.
- Communicate with study staff and site providers to monitor participant status and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform administrative research tasks such as data entry, data management, quality assurance, and maintaining study protocols.
- Assist with the maintenance of SMS text messaging platforms and the development of participant training materials.
What you'll need#
- A college degree.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and general comfort with computer systems.
- Familiarity with human subject research.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- The ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule.
- Preferred majors include Health Administration, Public Health, or Sociology.
