About the role#
This paid, full-time internship takes place during the Summer of 2027. You will work on-site at one of our offices, assisting with design work across multiple projects. You will work under the direction of Project or Design Engineers to complete technical tasks and support our project teams.
What you'll do#
- Perform standard engineering calculations using both hand methods and computer software.
- Create drafts and models for engineering designs.
- Produce construction documents and specifications.
- Coordinate with other design staff to ensure project needs are met.
- Review project deliverables to verify they meet design checklists and drafting standards.
- Organize project files and information according to our standard practices.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a BS degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- We prefer students entering their junior or senior year.
- Experience with computer-aided drafting and modeling software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam is preferred.
Location & details#
This role is available in Wichita, Topeka, and Lawrence, Kansas; Kansas City, Missouri; Fort Collins, Colorado; and Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma. This is an on-site position. Please note that we do not offer sponsorship for this role.
