About the role#
This position supports the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) instructional program. You will work under the supervision of teachers and administrators to provide classroom support, student supervision, and behavioral assistance throughout the school day. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mulberry, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the instructional program for ESE students.
- Reinforce classroom lessons for individuals and small groups.
- Prepare instructional materials, classroom projects, and bulletin boards.
- Provide clerical support including grading papers, taking attendance, filing, and managing records.
- Supervise students during meal times, special programs, field trips, and bus transitions.
- Utilize technology to enhance instruction and complete assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from an accredited high school or completion of a GED.
- Sixty or more college credit hours, an Associate's degree, or a passing score on the Para Pro exam.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with school personnel and parents.
- Bilingual or biliterate skills are preferred.
- Interest in working with and educating exceptional children.

- Physical requirements: Ability to sit for the majority of the day and lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds frequently, or 40 pounds or more with assistance.
