About the role#
This Mechanical Engineering Co-op position is based in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. You will join our team to support projects in the life sciences sector, including Cell and Gene Therapy, Biologics, and Pharma facilities. You will work on various project stages, from feasibility studies and conceptual design to construction documentation and administration. You will be mentored by senior team members while gaining experience in the design build industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the generation of calculations and design layouts.
- Help develop various project packages, including air flow diagrams, utility flow diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Coordinate with project team members, internal and external parties, and vendors.
- Liaise with senior colleagues and mentors to complete assigned tasks.
- Demonstrate an understanding of your scope of work and use initiative for problem solving under supervision.
- Perform site visits and surveys while supervised by a Senior Engineer.
- Apply knowledge of industry standard methodologies and tools.
- Complete special projects as required.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Mechanical Engineering.
- An interest in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or HAP.
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
