Systems Engineering Intern

About the role#

This Systems Engineering internship focuses on defining, tracking, and analyzing operational performance metrics to quantify the Safety of the Intended Function (SOTIF) Risk Acceptance Criteria. You will work within the Safety and Systems team to support the development of autonomous truck technology.

What you'll do#

• Iteratively improve SOTIF analysis and draft safety requirements.
• Define data collection parameters, including safety-critical events, functional faults, and triggering conditions, for open road test operations.
• Synthesize gathered data to align with SOTIF targets.
• Generate test reports and actionable insights for each release.

What you'll need#

• Active enrollment in a Master’s degree program in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
• Previous experience or research involving Autonomous Driving, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), or Robotics.
• Proficiency in Python and C++; experience with Linux-based tools is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
