About the role#
The Nurse Extern provides direct patient care to patients from birth through the lifecycle. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to support clinical operations and patient needs.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct patient care to patients across all age groups.
- Perform treatments and procedures appropriate for a pre-licensure nurse.
- Use clinical equipment according to hospital policy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
- Successful completion of your first Med/Surg rotation.
- BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Preferred: Certification as a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician.
- Preferred: Phlebotomy certification.
- Preferred: ECG certification.
